You have the older version of the PH60 meter. I noticed that yours came with only the 4.0 and 7.0 test solutions. The newer ones have three solutions and calibrate to a three-point scale. Mine contained three solutions. Like I said, we used to calibrate our test equipment daily at the power...

Yes, the cases are included. I agree. The cases are necessary to keep everything in order. I also ordered lab standard calibration solutions. I learned a hard lesson with that crappy vivosun meter. I was unable to calibrate it. It just wouldn't complete the calibration procedure. It just kept...

I have an Apera PH60 also. Great meter. It calibrated with no trouble whatsoever, and it showed that the vivosun unit was WAAAAAAAYYYYYY off. When I corrected the pH, using the Apera PH60, my plants showed improvement within just a few days. Like I said, everything I owned, with the vivosun...

Good luck in November. You've got my vote! I've seen no improvement since using these expensive amendments. In fact, it's been a frikkin' nightmare. Everything you said makes total sense. I got my Hydroguard delivered today. I'm hoping to see some nice white roots soon. Can anyone recommend...

    Bud candy

Thanks. That's great advice. I am questioning the AN nutes in general now too. Any recommendations on what I should be using? I was expecting great things with this grow. It's the first time I have spent so much money on all the extras. It's been a nightmare for the last three weeks. The grow...

    Bud candy

I am in week 4 of flowering Black Gorilla. I have had a great deal of trouble with pH since I switched to the flowering nutrients. I added Bud Ignitor, Big Bud and Bud Candy to the recipe. PH started dropping precipitously. It went to 4.5 at one point. I was using 10-12 mls of pH up per day in a...

    It was doing great

I wasn't very clear. I should have explained better. The first two seedlings, started 6 weeks ago, were doing very badly. I thought they would die but I planted them in soil and they revived. I water them with 6.2-ish water. For my hydro grow, I let the pH drift from 5.2 to 6.0, but it stays...

    It was doing great

So you have no advice then. Figures. Sorry you are so sensitive. Enjoy your day. You're right, I did say that...I suppose I was trying not to be an arrogant know-it-all. I learn something every day on this site. I hope I never stop learning. You didn't ask any questions about my hydro setup...

    It was doing great

Of course I am. My first hydro grow was in 2002. Any specific advice? Can you give me a hint as to which of the "several different things" it might be? The choices are: nutes, pH, media, temps, genetics, RH, and/or lights. Why do you, instead of helping with my specific problem, offer advice...

    It was doing great

The pH was way off when I initially germinated the seeds. I got an Apera PH60 pH tester a few days after the leaves turned dark. The water tested at pH 4.2. They were severely stressed. I didn't think they would survive, but they did. They are now getting pH6.2.

    It was doing great

I've had the seedlings in a rapid rooter for a few days. No change yet. It's been 9 days since they germinated. If you remember, I had two other seedlings in hydroton before the two seedlings I currently have, but they did very badly and seemed stunted. I gave up on them for my hydro grow, but...

I ordered 50 RapidRooters. I'm looking forward to giving them a try. If it makes the seedling/rooting phase easier, I'm in!
