If you get he rite size led can achieve just as good maybe better yields from led like yiu say less heat I got 4 600hps I no longer use as switched to led plus the 600hps nearly burnt my house down melted the tent

I have used both. I no longer use HPS. HPS is probably better for Flower because of it's Red Spectrum & it will produce a little bigger yield. But you have to deal with 90 degree temps with HPS & they seem to cost more to run electric wise. Another issue I have with HPS is it's hard to spot plant issues or take pics of the plants because of the light spectrum.
LED's are way cooler to run. Without any kind of exhaust or fans on the hottest my tent gets is 88F. With exhaust on it stays about 78F. Some LED's have Drivers that you can remove from the light & place outside the tent. That really helps in keeping things cooler. Mars Hydro Lights are this way. They are pretty darn good lights too. I've owned several & got great results.
The White Light LED's are great for taking pics too. As far as the equivalent thing goes.... I'd say it's fairly accurate.
