The Lake County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of men who allegedly raided a marijuana grow while impersonating federal agents.

Capt. James Bauman reported that the sheriff's office recently received a report of a marijuana grow being raided by a group of armed men dressed in law enforcement attire and claiming to be agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Other incidents of phony law enforcement raids involving the theft of marijuana by people impersonating law enforcement officers and mocking their tactics have been reported in other Northern California counties this season, Bauman said.

There was no violence or injury to the victim in the phony raid in Lake County, Bauman said.

He added that those engaged in the cultivation of marijuana, whether legally or illicitly, are advised to be mindful of the incidents.

No further information is being released pending further investigation into the Lake County case, Bauman said.

This has the potential for getting a lot of people killed. This why the government needs to stop there nazi tactics. ANyone can get a uniform or shirt and badge that say DEA on it. I have always been of the belief that if armed people break into your house you have the right to use deadly force. Thats why if they are going to continue this armed home invasion acts they need to go back to knocking first and required to show, badges,ID's and a judge signed search warrant.

Now THAT is waaaaaay too scary close to my back door.....why on earth wasn't that on the local news?
