smells

Hello, its my first time in here so please be gentle ☺, I'm currently using a 1.2x1.2x1.8 budbox tent with a 125mm vents fan and a 125x300 rhino pro filter, inside the tent the filter is connected to 125mm acoustic ducting that leads out of the tent to a solid 125mm ducting that passes through the wall and down into the fan which is encased in its own further soundproofed box before passing the air out. My problem is there is still a faint smell outside, there is no smell whatsoever in the room with the tent so I'm assuming the fan is powerful enough.

Any ideas as to what's causing the smell? The filter is clamped and duct taped also.

I'd double check all the seals on the ducting and make sure there are no air leaks. If it still smells, maybe the carbon filter just ins't big/strong enough to remove all of the smell. That's all I can think of

As much as people may wish to think that carbon filters remove all the smell but in honest opinion they do not, yes a majority of smell but mid to late flowering smell doesn't always get removed 100%


Yup i use rhino filters myself... (125mm rhino vs my old cheap 'n' nasty)

I back the smell problem up with these, odor removing blocks by Hesi...
