Bipolar Disorder by Anonymous
My husband has bipolar disorder. The treatment that he has found that works best for him is marijuana. He was on lithium and Prozac for 1-2 years, but couldn't stand the side effects. He had been self-medicating with marijuana before he even knew he had a problem-- he just knew he felt better and could keep his behavior under control with it. I have known him for almost 20 years and can testify that marijuana keeps his manic behavior under control. Of course the problem is that it is illegal and expensive.
