Magicbear's June 2020 Indoor Soil Grow

News Flash!! I measure my distance left in my tent and the height of my plants plus size
of my light hood and it looks like I might have to go to flower a week or so early. If my
ladies double in size I should be fine but more than that will make it iffy...Tie them down
brother and buy some yoyos for the heavier ones. Oh boy a lot of fun coming my way. :slide: :yahoo:

Ok I did it. Reprogrammed the timers to 10 AM on and 10 PM off for the lights and
accessories. Gl#1 and #2 got 1/2 gal of water at 9 Am before I had to leave for VA Appt.
Mixed in Fox Farm Trio Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom plus Beastie Bloomz. Got
a pic before lights out last night and a couple pics coming about 7pm after I give them
another 1/2 gal of the mixture from this morning. :yahoo: :welcome::yahoo::party:

Oh My GOD!! We have some Tall Boys going on in my tent. 45" plus on 4 of the tallest
branches, ironically it is on GL#4 last plant to hit the dirt 10 days after GL#1. My HPS
light in the hood is as high as it can go. GL#3 branches are really thin so I had to tie
a bamboo stick to it so it doesn't bend and break. Baby bud and white hairs starting
to show up on all the plants. In general most of the plant heights are around 40" so
I am Happy with that! The tall ones I can bend away from the light and secure their
location. This all new to me since I normally do auto flower because of my age and health.
Speaking of health; got a new primary Doc and she is all over it doing video consults.

Oh I am rambling too much. Been taking pics as the stretch continues! Used a filter
on a couple today. A friend from the Legion Post has been helping me with some the
chores involving tending to my plants. When stretch stops I will have to defoil some
of those hand size fan leaves that will block bud sights from getting good light. I can
always adjust my light (600watt) down to 75% if things get too warm on the top sites.

Ok time post some pics. Hope you all enjoy! :yahoo: :high-five::welcome::party:Time laps 3 days.

You might have to take all those attachments out of your hood and tie it directly to the bar. You will gain 8 inches or so by doing this! I would highly recommend not turning your ballast down from 100%. It does not just simply lower the wattage. It takes away much needed spectrums to lower the wattage and is how it is able to dim the light. Bend over some tops if you absolutely have to. Looking good! Time for bud building.

@HunterNitro ok took your advise. Some taller branches have reached 48" yep 4 feet. So
it was time to do something with the light. Had a friend come over to help (he likes my buds).
It took us awhile to get it right and secure to a point that I trust it going forward. Believe me
it was tough on me to hold light up so my friend (taller) could unhook pulleys and secure light.

We had to remove one plant so we could get in there to work. The smaller GL#3 was put
on a table I have for trimming fan leaves ect. I took advantage of the room in the tent to
defoil most lower small branches and a bunch of useless leaves. Once I am sure stretch is over
I will selectively remove larger (big as my hand) fan leaves that block light from lower bud sites.

Yesterday was day 21 (3 weeks) into flower so probably 5 to 7 more weeks to make some big
fat ass buds and long 12" pop can fat colas.. wishful but possible with correct TLC. Well it is another
busy day so time to post some pics from yesterday. :thumb: :high-five::party::party:

Oh Boy stretch has slowed but still going. Tallest branch is 49.5 inches looking for 50.
Been trimming out wilting leaves and useless small shoot branches from the plants.
I keep a rotating desk top fan blowing just above the top of the pot on lower section
of all the girls to keep their panties cool and put some oxygen in their socks. Dang that
was cute and I am not even High.

Not much else to report except I am keeping a close eye out for Hermies.. this grow
is really important to me because we have ventured where this Man hasn't gone before!
I want to learn and eventually do what LandoC has done so well on his first grow. Scrog it Baby
Ok just have a couple pics from this morning. :welcome: :passitleft::green_heart:
Oh the first 2 pics are me looking for Mr. Hermie.

Looking good magicbear. SCROG is fairly easy to learn and is pretty much just a net, topping your plants often, and spreading them out over the net. You want a short bushy plant with lots of tops to put through each net hole.

I see on this grow you only topped them one time it looks like. I like topping my plants often and that turns those one or two main tops into multiple. They also would stay a lot smaller and not so tall by doing this and keep all the tops even across the top. You will have some wicked big main single colas on these though if they produce well.

Nitro I want to do it but for me to get under a net to water will be difficult with soil in pots. I guess the height of the net and the strain all play a role in the process. being old and not so nimble doesn't help. THX:thanks:
