Mother clones

I ordered some seeds(regular).they are 4 feets tall. My friend tell me to cut the clones from them and flip them 12/12 So we can see the product. And he wants to let the clones witch I cut already for mothers. Cause he said the seeded mother straight from the seeds are not good. He said it's take Long time for root to shows up and shit like that. Thats was his opinion.my opinion it's way different I think the seeded mother it's the best mother. Can u guys help with me with these questions.

i Don’t think your friend is giving you bad advice even if his logic seems a little off.

i listen to a ton of interviews with breeders (the potcast) and it seems like the general idea is to take clones. Flower the mother (plant from seed) and if they like it the clone is the mother moving forward.

I’ve never heard cuttings off clone root faster. That seems incorrect to me.
