Five people have been arrested on suspicion of running a large pot-growing operation inside a clothing store/travel agency in Montrose, according to Glendale police.
Police found the illegal pot shop Wednesday in the 2500 block of Honolulu Avenue. The bust happened at at Blue Seas travel agency, which also sold medical supplies, and Fast Fashion clothing store.
The businesses were being used as fronts for a full-scale marijuana growing operation, complete with ventilation and lights, police said.
Authorities confiscated about 400 marijuana plants, with an estimated street value of $200,000.
