Smokey's Strawberries In Coco

Hello everyone,hope you are all well and good.

Glad to be back after a few weeks away,right then,,ready for round 3.
I'm a couple weeks in front so it's not a slow read at the start.

Here is the info on what is happening-
My plan is to just chuck a seed in each 8L fab pot with coco and perlite,
then a little spritz of feed and just let them be!.
I've not got a proper plan in place of what i'm going to do to them ie:Lst/Hst/Topping etc.

Here's the info i got on the beans:

Cycle Time:65 to 75 days from sprout
Size:40 to 60cm

Aroma and Flavour:Sweet succulent strawberry, with berry undertones and a dank sour skunky edge. Tastes of dank berries, sweetness and funk
Effect:Medicinal, narcotic predominantly indica 'in da couch'
Extract:A great little hash plant. Rich in terps, ideal for rosin, live resin and bubble hash.
Cannabinoids:TBA

STRAWBERRY NUGGETS x SKYWALKER
This was a freebie and there is no info on the strain guide.


The 3 seeds i have picked to run this time have the same rough life time scale,65-75 days.
I don't think i'll get these time scale but atleast they should hopefuly be around the same chop day all being well,i have a cheeky 2x2x7'11 gorilla aswell and will be used if any one of these finishes more than aweek apart from the rest if that makes sense.



Day1: straight into there final home without a presoak,
i got 1L water and added 0.5ml each of CalMag and Voodoo Juice,PH5.8
then plastic cup over the top to get humidity right up hopefuly.
Lights on at 60% and 40in above the top of the Coco.....
ALL SYSTEMS GO!!!

4Days in:
SN -Strawberry Nuggets has broken ground...Helloooo!

SNxS-Strawberry Nuggets x Skywalker is just about to come above ground,maybe 1 more day to see her.

PN-Purple Nuggets is a no show at the moment,must be shy.

Only spritzing the inside of plastic cup as a humidy dome.
1L water-0.5ml each CalMag and Voodoo Juice.PH5.8

Maybe....like a small maybe... I'm not huge on waste and from what I hear coco is feed to waste everyday? And the day is great I broke out the shorts it's 50° lol have my tunes and just plugging away at work.

Great,,,take a seat next to HappyMat.

Stickies are just precaution as i left my coco out at the start when i flushed it to give me virtualy 0 PPM but didn't let it dry wenought before i filled up pots.
3 x oiso fans on them at the moment.

Run to waste is to ensure you water the plant thoroughly, but after a while you can judge the water pretty accurately and just occasionally flood it for good measure, but even then it's fine to leave a little run off in the tray where it will be quickly re-absorbed or evaporate
Probably more efficient than swapping out a hydro res every week or two

I agree on the res change and having a pot with roots.
Best of both worlds hydro/container grow.
But I found it best not to let a lady with a bag full of roots suck back up a tray of nutrients.
I had issues until I put lifters in my catch trays.
So now once it fills a tray I just shop vac it out.
I know it's a pain in the ass but it's little things like that that can trip you up and cause unexpected problems.
Just my 2 cents

Hey Bill - all is well in my world thank you (but I still haven't finished the trim lol)
Maybe it's because I grow in smaller pots than most, which can dry out in a couple of hours so wet roots is never an issue, quite the contrary
I like that method because I can push water through at least every day and get away with lower nute rate
Horses for courses, whatever that means lol

Hello everybody,hope everyone's allgood.

Day-5-
Tent is 24c and 75%-80% humidity.
Light @62% intense and still 40in from the top of the coco.
I have given nothing to any of them today other than spraying PN's humidity cup.

SN:Doing ok,2 days above ground,nothing much more to say about her.

SNxS:She has started to pop above the ground but no fully.

PN:She is still a no show,(were are you,i know you're in there).I'm thinking of putting some coco in a solo cup and dropping a PN seed in there.




Day-6
I decided to put a PN in a solo cup just incase.


SN:Starting on her first set of 3 finger leaves.I made a little feed using 1L water,0.6ml each CalMag and Voodoo juice,PH5.8
She had 150ml round the outskirts of her pot.No runoff.

SNxS:She is fully above ground now,yess.
No food for her yet.

PN:HAA marvalous,i put a seed in a solo cup on day 5 because i thought this PN wasn't doing anything,,,,low and behold-i can see a tiny shell part coming threw the coco.
