Stonecrusher's Garage: Gorilla Cookies Auto And Purple Banana Punch Auto

The bottom very first leaves/branching is removed. As soon as it shows pistils I top above either the 3rd or 4th node (within a day or 2) and depending how big they are.
Thanks for repeating that. I'm about to start a new batch of autos and will definitely try the technique. Your results can't be argued.

I appreciate the compliment. Me and autos seem to get along pretty well.

This Alaskan BB was cut just like I mentioned. She was the slow grower too. Never count one out, they hate that 😂. Sometimes they keep stretching until the day they are done.
Don’t be afraid of shocking them, it doesn’t damage them if you do it while they’re vibrant and healthy.

For anyone here reading this, thanks for checking in on my first grow diary. After long deliberation I decided to make this an autoflower run. It should finish up just in time to sprout my outdoor seeds. I chose 2 Gorilla Cookies Autos from Fastbuds and they included a Banana Purple Punch Auto for the bonus seed. I was super happy to see the Banana purple punch since I had great luck with Banana Kush Autos last year.

Sat down Friday night and trimmed one of the Gorilla Cookies. Not a big haul, 3 oz but they were small plants and my new goal is to make some big autoflowers.
One down, two to go. Ill trim up the other 2 plants sometime this week.

I appreciate the compliment. Me and autos seem to get along pretty well.

I have two of those slow growers now in the tent. I took them out to compost, but changed my mind. Im going to try your topping method. Im also going to start a few new autos so I have a couple of normal growers that I can really work with.

I have a perfect little one here as an example. My own auto breed (Queen G x Wizard) Showing sex at 22 days, already had her first low branches removed. Now she’s a hexline if I top her or I can make her a really strong quadline. I almost always go hexline now.

She JUST showed sex like 12 hours ago.

So she’s topped. It may seem a bit early to some. Hopefully she will turn out to be a good example. Check back in about 50 days 😝

OK @Justin Goody this is going to be fun! I have a plant that was heading for the bin because it was slow. I even took it out of the tent and threw it out back for a couple of days, then in a moment of of compassion (stupidity)? I rescued it and brought it back in the tent. It is from a Fast Buds seed "grab bag" 5 pack. They don't tell you which strain it is but the 5 pack is only $25. I'm always a sucker for the mystery. Im going to do a little shocking and see what happens.

Here she is after I topped her. Removed the first set of leaves, left 3 nodes.

Here is what I cut off.
More cutoff porn. Naked pistils

My plan is to re-pot now in a 5 gal soil pot with really fluffy soil. Some recycled Build A Soil 3.0 soil. Ill let it rest a couple of days then hit it with as much light as it will handle.

From almost trash to potential stash. Good call, Crusher! :Rasta:

Harvest update:
Banana Purple Punch dried and trimmed. 2.9 oz total. It was such a cool plant and I was hoping the buds would be a little denser, but I can't deny the quality. The taste is fruit and gas and the effects are stimulating.. Very productive pot!

Two down, 1 to go. Ill update after I trim and bag the final Gorilla Cookies. It should be the best producer.

There's no weed like your homegrown weed Crusher!

Enjoy! :ganjamon:

This is the last entry in my first 420 Journal! Thanks for checking in and answering all my questions. This is my best quality indoor harvest so far. In addition I got inspired by the SIPpers, got some good education on DLI, VPD, BRIX, watering, PHing and PPMs.

I have a new summer grow started at: Stonecrusher's back yard.

Here's the last plant, Gorilla Cookies after dry and trim.

Here's the tally:
Fastbuds Gorilla Cookies Auto #1 - 3.2 oz
Fastbuds Gorilla Cookies Auto #2 - 3.9 oz
Fastbuds Banana Purple Punch: - 2.7 oz

Total harvest: - 9.8 oz
