Tyson's 4x4 ScrOG Feat: Mimosa In DWC 2019

DWC, homemade. The speed is unreal.
Exactly. I'm amazed how my plants look at 3 weeks in dwc compared to soil growers that I have seen online.
I started at the beginning of August and if you look at my grow journal, they are huge. I will need to adjust my nutrients today with my water change. I am trying to determine how much to run this week.

was that a result of topping; 1=2=4=8=16=32... etc...
I topped once to open her up. She had 14 "tops" at that point. Then I just used lst to fill the screen.
6 weeks from tomorrow to veg and hopefully fill a 2x4 space
You should be good. Keep the screen 8" above the net pot or lower. Mine is at 10", and I will go lower next time.

What nutrient lineup are you using?

Fox Farms. I posted pics this morning on my grow log with a couple of questions if you have time.

Hey @irie lion I dug through some of my research materials to give ya some more insight on the effectiveness of co2.
Thanks for that brother! Much appreciated. :passitleft:
Looking damn good in there. Good to see the early frost settling in! Loads of fresh pistils pushing in there!
Have you considered maybe supercropping the center branches shooting up to allow the lower growth to catch up a bit? Her lime-green colour coming through the last week or so tells me she could do with a stronger feeding :morenutes:

I thought about it but I'm going to let her ride it out. The height disparity in the middle is due to a couple of things.
1, the center of the screen is about 2-3" higher than the edge, because the plant is pushing it up. Next time I plan to secure the screen in the middle, so that it is the same height.
2, I believe the center gets much better light then the outer rim. You and I talked earlier about using a 1000w and I said I wasn't, . . but a couple days ago I snagged a nice 1000w dimmable ballast for $20 and a new HPS bulb for $22, couldn't pass it up. So I'm now running a 1000w at 75%. I tried the full 1000w but even with my extraction fan at 100% it was too hot. Well it wasn't too hot for my current stage (leaf temps of 82) but it would be really hard for me to lower the temps in the last few weeks like I want. Next grow, once the plants spreads almost to the walls (week 8 of veg) I'll switch to the 750w.
3, I didn't tuck as long as I originally planned. I didn't expect quite the surge in the middle. I was hoping for an overall canopy height of 12-15". The perimeter is 10-12" but the center is 18".

All in all, I'll tweak things next grow but I'm not worried about it for this one, as she has stopped stretching and I'm good height wise.
As far as lower buds, I do plan to defoliate tomorrow. I plan to take a lot of fan leaves that dont have trichomes on them from the middle. Youd be surprised at how many fan leaves have trichomes. I dont want to cut those off.

This one is trickier. First off my camera makes it look more accentuated then it really is, but it is there. Through her grow, new growth has been slightly lime-green. At first I thought it was under feeding but came to believe she was just growing so fast that the nitrogen was having a hard time simply replenishing what was being used. I believe this because her growth rate doesn't slow down when you see lime green, like you would expect with a deficiency. Its actually when shes at full speed. Had this been the first time, then I would attribute it to low nitrogen since I have cut back the Floragro in the last 2 weeks. But again, it is something I have seen with her since day 1.
It's also funny you mention it, because just yesterday I noticed the smallest indication of tip burn and figured I might be slightly high so I backed off from 1.4 to 1.3ec.

9/4/19 9:30 pm Day 103 (35F)
temp 78 rh 60% ec 1.2 ph 6.0 co2 1150
night temp 68 rh 51% water temp 66

Everything is going great so far. I think the ec was still a little high so Im just under 1.2 ec (810ppm). Shes throwing more frost at this stage and has thicker buds than I've ever had in previous grows. I'm very excited for the final totals. I'm still planning to harvest on day 64 of flower with a window of day 60-66. I go by trichomes but have gotten pretty good at estimating this strain as I have a bunch of experience with it. She drinks about 1.5 gallons a day now. I accidentally dropped my phone through the canopy while taking pics. Didn't break anything but my phone is super sticky now.

Hey Tyson! :passitleft:Really impressive flower production! She’s putting out that frost real early and taking shape really well.

Nice! And a trichome rich cell phone too!
I have a feeling everything around here with be covered in trichomes soon!

I wish I could get a picture of the lower buds. They are developing surprisingly well considering I still haven't defoliated. It's actually made me hold off so far. The lower buds, even the ones 15" into the canopy are pretty good and covered in frost.
