Unknown Strain, Blueberry & Purple Kush Grow 2019: Am New So Comments Welcome

UPDATE: Got my new carbon filter setup today. I got it all hooked up and its lowered the RH to where i'd like to see it and it also dropped me a degree which i was wanting anyways. It's a 440 cfm and it definitely pulls. My tents neg pressured haha. The 5 little ones are doing ok.. I think i got the nutrient situation under control I wasn't giving them enough I think. But tomorrow I will mix up new nutes I am running kleanse tonight and I just got my big girl on week 6 flower nutes. She's getting sooo frosty and nice. I wish I knew what strain she really was maybe when the buds are more developed I can post some pics and maybe the community can help me figure it out.

Here are some pics of one of my fav buds on the professor

20190421_112056.jpg

And here's one where i played with the pro camera settings a bit

20190421_112029.jpg

Overall i'd say she's looking mighty nice, I had to dim my light I couldn't raise it anymore and the canopy was getting close to 100k lux so I dropped it to 400w setting and moved it down a inch or 2. It's now at 65k -75k lux with the peak point directly centered at her stalk.

UPDATE : The Little ones are having a rough time right now but i think i got it fixed...Fingers crossed, not sure exactly what happened. i've never had a problem this bad before. so i'm not sure if its bad genetics or if they're just more sensitive strains than i've ever grown. Either way i think i've got them back on track i've noticed the curling going down the leafs are flattening out a bit and the yellow veins and deep deep red stems are going back to normal so i think i'm in the clear wish me luck!

UPDATE: I finally got the little ones back completely on track the damage that's been done either don't think will reverse but it's all up from here. The professor is getting sticky and dank her buds are swelling nicely here are some. New photos

So i've actually had this whole weekend off and i've been able to give the girls the attention that they very well have been needing. I got in my tent and sat and closely inspected them. I've realized the browning on the leaves wasn't from a deficiency but they had gotten the nutrient solution poured on the leaves, i've been so busy with work. I remember specifically the nutrient solution I mixed and gave them that was way too dense. I had speedily poured in over each plant and I burned them plus they got it while the lights were on so I think I may have burned them plus nutrient burned them. So i've been extra careful today to not get the nutes anywhere near the leaves. I feel kind of stupid.. haha but hey there's a learning curve to all this and i'm definitely at the ass end. Also i've been hyper focused on the budding girl she's getting particularly dank. Feel free to drop what you believe the strain to be, I got it from my buddy and he got it from someone else and so on and so on. I have no idea what strain she is. I can tell she's a strong sativa by her leaf structure, but aside from that I have no clue. She smells kind of sweet with very pungent and skunky undertones. I took a few beauty shots so guess away. I will also be posting a thread in bud photos.

Looking great!
How's your other plants going?

I think I finally figured out what they all like and they're all on the mend. I just need to slow down and be more careful when I add water and nutes to not get it on the leaves

UPDATE: So she's got seeds I don't know how but she does, I think it's the strain since it had seeds in it. I think it's just been genetically ran out, but it's still crazy frosty, i've been working so much I haven't been able to update. Im switching to soil since it requires less checking and I work too much to properly take care of a hydro system. I'll get some fresh pics tomorrow after I work when the lights are back on.

Honestly, that is one of the biggest reasons that i run living organic soil. I've still gots to work for a living out in that concrete jungle of a world out there. With LOS i dont have to worry about ph because the microbes and unseen magic in the soil allows me to just add water. RO or distilled water is probably best, but filtered will also do. I water during the week. And on the weekends when i have a little extra time, ill prepare an aact tea/worm tea. Or even some seed sprout tea (sprouted corn). Then water thru the week again. Sometimes ill add some aloe, or liquid seaweed, or fish hydrolysates, or a mixture of all of the afore.
Good luck!

UPDATE: Sorry it's been so long i've been working crazy hours I haven't had a day off in 16 days, and I still have to work today but I get to go in at 10 so that's nice, but the flowering girl is mighty frosty and skunky and just.... GLORIOUS!

The % younger ones are doing better now that I have them in their own pots and got them in some FFOF (Fox Farm Ocean Forest). i had to switch to soil or else they'd have died. I just didn't have time to take care of the hydro system properly. I'm glad I made the switch, they're starting to come out of the problems they were having nicely. I'm just used to with hydro the defs fixing faster, but I gave them each a light dose of nutes with distilled water PHd to 6.89 then checked the ph of the runoff and it was 6.3 so that's good. They were/are having some Phosphorus defs, nitrogen tox and mag def.... it got out of hand with the hours I was working and not keeping the ph right and nutes at the right level just kinda locked stuff out and had some too high. But now i'm just going to do a light nute followed by just distilled water once or twice a week depending on soil dryness. I haven't really messed with soil before besides just watering it if anyone can give me tips on the best size and placement for drain holes on my pots that'd be nice, and also some direction of best ph for my water when i water if it matters and then maybe some just general tips would make me feel more at ease..

But here they are in all of their glory,

Also im using my pantry as a temporary drying area until i setup my drying tent . i have a few bud that i needed to taker so i can not spend cash on smoke lol and its so good that i might as well supplement a little until its fully done

Hello Slothman. ;)
I'm sorry to hear you have to work so much. It's great though, that you still have some time for your garden. I only have 2 plants, and I always work 40 hours a week, from Monday to Friday, still I sometimes feel I don't have enough time for the girls.

As for the ph in soil. The sweet spot is somewhere around 6.3-6.4, but I guess you're good with anything between 6.0-6.8, just make sure there are no huge swings in the ph level.

Keep up!:green_heart:

And what's a good pH for the water I give and where should the run off be?

UPDATE: Some of the leaves are now turning a bit yellow around the edges and more and more trichomes are cloudy and bent everyday. I'm assuming it's going to be done in about 2 or 3 days. I've got it on its last round of cyco kleanse and distilled water. The ppm is 30 and im trying to suck out any remaining nutrients so I can have some clean smooth smoke. Shes got a very sweet skunky aroma, the budsi have tried that were dry were nice i was very stoned and they were very pretty and sticky a few people who've got a small sample of just a dried uncured bud already want more so that's a good sign right? too bad for them i'm not a dealer and they're only going to be able to get a 8th maybe if i need the money... more for me besides im wanting to test different methods of extraction with some of the nugs bubble bags, butane, dry ice just want to do a few experiments.

Your grow is coming along very nicely now Slothman! And the flower girls...sheesh! Very nice! I love seeing when newer growers finally hit their stride and begin to really get excited over all of the upcoming possibilities. Im happy for you, and excited to see what you do next, as well. Soil is way easier in my opinion. May take a couple of days longer to get fixed. Vut it'll also take a couple of more days to show.
Look out people! Harvest coming very soon!
