What type of water to flush with

I grow with DWC and wondered if I should use R/O water or tap water to flush with? My tap water is from a well and runs about 140 ppm.

either will work. Just make sure the ppm is low so the plant starts to eat its reserves....

your well water sounds wonderful , it probably has minerals in it as it comes from the ground.


Oxygenate the water before flushing with it , even by using the garden hose and sprayer to fill a bucket.

also read up on and adjust your flush waters PH to the recommended number for flushing

I have used R/O water to flush with many times but have read that o ppm can strip the plant of all nutrients? I'll use my well water this time and see. Thanks

RO, Distilled, or your well water would be fine.

I have read that you can flush more thoroughly using flush water with a pH of 6 as you can lock IN nutrients with the wrong ph of water.
