Kanno 26 - 2x ViparSpectra XS1500 PRO - SIP/Soil/80x80 - 2x Purple Queen

You should really stop growing in SIPs as, from the looks of it, you're going to end up with too much weed.

:cheesygrinsmiley:
He’s going to take your job in the SIP Club if you’re not careful. Aren’t you the President and Lead Cheerleader?

Unelected Chair.

I haven't heard of any shareholder uprising. Why, what have you heard?
I mean, I don’t want to start any rumors, but since you ask, I heard that in the board’s assessment, Kanno just started SIPs and he already dusts you. They also note that Kanno has been actively displaying an actual grow, which not everyone does - some just like to blabber away.     So like I said, I don’t know. Not sure if they might give you a chance or what. Not really my business as I have yet to join the club. Can’t afford the dues.

@Jon made a good suggestion, I see the side branching are trying to fill the tent, I think this will make sense for a higher yield. :thumb:

Hi all growers, just a quick update before the end of week three and this is what the purple queen looks like.

Hey friends, the purple queen hit the start of week four today and she's in full swing, check out how @ViparSpectra XS1500 PRO is giving her what she's up for. Every other day he gets 2 liters of watering and 2 liters in the reservoir and this is what it looks like.

It’s amazing @Kanno26! In effect, you basically have a gorgeous scrog going here. Enough so that I have one tip for you: now that you have established your canopy you can easily see underneath it to the buds down low. Even though you’ve spread the colas out beautifully and are allowing more light penetration down low, I can see you’re still going to have X number of flarfy, airy, or what I call shit buds. So imho you have two options,
1. Leave it go just as it is and use those crap buds for kief, or your personal smoking (nobody wants to give these buds away cuz they suck, but they get you just as high as any other on the plant, so if I go this route I smoke them).
2. (This is the option I would pick) - cut off any shoots/shit buds that are not getting light and are inevitably going to be crap. They’re fairly easy to identify. Look low. Lol. What this will do is make the colas above the screen (the gold!) SIGNIFICANTLY larger. Because now the plant no longer has to waste any energy maintaining those shoots and instead can then focus all its energy into making the remaining buds sweet.

Either works, it just depends on what you want.

I lied. I have two tips. The second is I would suggest you check out @Emilya Green (‘s) post on Bud Swelling Technique. I used this technique on the Mimosa and I would argue it works extremely well. Basically all you do is top the colas about 1/4 to 1/2 inch down. Flatten the tops basically. What that does is the same thing as when you top the plant - it signals her to go wide. The same thing is true of buds (who knew? Emilya of course. Lmao). You are at the right timing to use this technique right now. It may be something you want to try. It even only works on a bud by bud basis, so if you wanted you could pick a bud or four and try it only in them and see - compare to the non-technique buds at the end. It’s a fascinating technique that can increase yield and bud density.

So there’s a few possibilities for you to consider. It’s simply beautiful man. Absolutely stunning work Kanno.

Hi @Jon, thanks for your tip. I decided on option number 2 and cleaned the bottom a bit, but nothing radical, I'm afraid to make such adjustments in the flower. But the possibility from @Emilya Green also sounds interesting, but I confess that I don't dare to do it yet. 😉

I totally understand @Kanno26 - I approached it more than once and was too scared to mess up my buds to try it. Lol. Cut the tops off my buds? Are you crazy? The Mimosa was the first plant I tried it on when I did every bud on the plant. The question I had to face was, is this size increase from the swelling technique or the accidental reveg? Why are they getting so big? So I can’t tell you I have enough experiential proof that it works, as my only barometer is the one plant. But I’ve grown Mimosa more than once. The buds don’t normally get as big as mine did. I feel the overall size somehow benefitted from the reveg, and the width/fatness of the buds came from the bud swelling technique. With 8 plants I’ll be trying it again this grow on something.

Your plants are gorgeous man. I wouldn’t try it either. Lol!!!

Hello everyone, it's time again to say something about the purple queen. First, the end of the fourth week is approaching. For the second environment, it has 27.5 degrees Celsius and humidity around 55%. Thirdly, it starts to look like a tree on which bark is made ;)
IMG_20230609_180641.jpg
IMG_20230609_181136.jpg

Fourth, the netting helped spread this plant out beautifully and now it reminds me of a birthday cake with candles. :slide:
IMG_20230609_180655.jpg
IMG_20230609_180634.jpg

Fifth, the flowers begin to form beautifully for a great smoke. I hope so.

And finally for the sixth great job also done by @ViparSpectra XS1500 PRO and last but not least also you on the forum without whom I would not be where I am now @Bill284, @Jon, @Azimuth, @StoneOtter, @HashFart, @Emilya Green, @grand Daddy Black, I also thank you all and if I forgot someone, I'm sorry, but Dik belongs to you too.:Namaste::headbanger:

That’s one sexy ass plant. I’m blown away by the consistency of the colas.
